India Tour of England 2026: Squad Announced

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India’s squad for the upcoming white-ball tour of England in 2026. The selection marks the beginning of a new chapter in India’s T20 setup, with Shreyas Iyer appointed captain and Tilak Varma named vice-captain.

One of the biggest highlights of the announcement is the inclusion of young batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The teenager has earned his opportunity after impressive performances in domestic and franchise cricket and will be among the players to watch during the tour.

India have selected a balanced squad featuring experienced international performers alongside emerging talents. Players such as Sanju Samson, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj and Washington Sundar bring valuable experience, while youngsters including Prince Yadav and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi add excitement and depth to the squad.

The England tour will provide an important test for India as they continue building towards future ICC tournaments. England’s conditions often challenge visiting teams, making the series a valuable opportunity for players to gain overseas experience and strengthen their credentials in the shortest format.
