The ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-2027 is the fourth edition of the prestigious Test cricket competition organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The championship features the world’s top nine Test-playing nations competing over a two-year cycle for a place in the WTC Final.
The tournament officially began on 17 June 2025 with the Test series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and is scheduled to conclude with the ICC World Test Championship Final in June 2027 at Lord’s Cricket Ground, London.
Under the tournament format, each team plays six Test series, including three home series and three away series. Depending on the schedule, each series consists of two to five Test matches, with teams earning points based on their performances throughout the championship cycle.
