India produced a commanding all-round performance to defeat Afghanistan by 170 runs in the second ODI of the Afghanistan Tour of India 2026. The convincing victory helped the hosts secure the ODI series after another dominant display with both bat and ball.
Batting first, India posted a massive total of 402 runs, thanks to a remarkable innings from captain Shubman Gill. The right-handed batter anchored the innings with a magnificent 154 runs, combining elegance and aggression throughout his stay at the crease.
Ishan Kishan provided excellent support with a blistering century, scoring 125 runs and helping India build a formidable total. The duo’s partnership laid the foundation for one of India’s highest ODI totals against Afghanistan.
